Please be advised that beginning with the July collection, recycling services will no longer be provided. Texas Pride, our trash collection company, owns the recycling bins. Please place your recycling bin on the curb for pick up with your trash with the first collection in July.
After careful consideration, the Board made the decision to discontinue recycling. Of the 163 homes in the District, approximately 24 homes on average participated in recycling.
Regardless of the number of participants, the District is charged and pays for recycling for all 163 homes.
Trash and recycling fees also will increase in July. By discontinuing recycling, the District will only see a $1,115 increase for the year for trash, while avoiding paying an additional $5,400 by discontinuing recycling.
